Life can be difficult--sometimes, unnecessarily hard. People cope in a variety of ways to deal with what life throws at them, but sometimes these strategies are unhealthy and act as a barrier to a meaningful life. I can help you better understand yourself and develop effective ways to improve your response to unpleasant feelings and relationship patterns.

During this crisis of coronavirus restrictions and disruption of family routines, many kids are anxious with worries about school, missing friends, and not being able to enjoy their normal activities. Telehealth sessions (video) are a way to offer support and to help both kids and parents talk about the challenges they are facing. The goal of sessions is to help family members develop positive coping strategies, enhance communication and build self-confidence during this challenging time. Sometimes kids need a neutral, outside person with whom to sort their feelings. Helping kids in this way is the focus of my work.

Counselor , LMHC
You know that something needs to change, but you don’t know what it is, or how to start. You have been told that you are “too sensitive" or "too emotional” and feel like no one else experiences the world the way you do. You find yourself feeling overwhelmed by everyone and everything much of the time. If you can relate to this, I am here to help. My goal is to work with you in a way that is empowering, compassionate and collaborative. I meet you where you are. I strive to help you identify and use your inner resources to turn your perceived “flaws” into strengths.
